“Return home, and declare how much God has done for you…” – Luke 8:39
The story began in 2006 when Luke and Karla Redus and their three sons drove around the city of Conroe handing out homemade breakfast tacos to the homeless and needy. Many encounters led them to further this small act to start one of the fastest growing outreach ministries in Conroe, TX. Compassion United is an organization formed of families, churches, businesses, and individuals who have seen the need for the intervention of God’s love in Montgomery County among the homeless, poor, and hopeless. Operating a transition home, a home for women in crisis pregnancy, a church for the homeless, a kids ministry in one of the poorest parts of town, and several grocery delivery ministries, the people involved with Compassion United are focused on bringing God’s love and value to the people in the community. The people involved and the people affected by the ministry are all part of a beautiful story. A story that is continuing to unfold and will be remembered in people’s hearts throughout their lives. Not only the people who receive the benefits of Compassion United’s ministry are the ones changed. Some of the most beautiful strands of the story are those lives of volunteers and missionaries that have been transformed by chasing after God’s presence and calling. On this website, we will present videos and articles written by various volunteers and others to allow you to be part of the story that has shaped many lives.
“…but God has so composed the body, giving greater honorto the part that lacked it, that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.” – 1 Corinthians 12:24-26

Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love. – Ephesians 4:15-16
